Hi everyone!

I have finally finished the pattern...so here is a quick post to announce that my Lollo African Flower Bear Pattern is available in my Ravelry Store for purchase...it's been a long time overdue! I have never uploaded a pattern for sale on Ravelry, so if you do buy a copy, and there are any glitches, please let me know...it's a learning curve for me as well... :)

Here is the link:

The cost of the pattern is $10US, and there are 6 separate PDF files to download.

Hi Heidi, May I have your permission to place a link to this post on the blog page "The Garden Bell"? It's a group with many members and they post their works that include a flower pattern. I'd love for them all to see Lollo! Annette

I already have a question! Creating the pentagon vs. the hexagon...I THINK I can figure it out...and maybe you've addressed it in your pattern and I just haven't seen it yet (it's a lot of pages and reading as you well know)...are there any tricks to making the pentagon?? Or do I just need to dig deeper in the pattern?

Me again...sorry! I mis-spoke before...the name of the blog is The Flower Bed (you knew that, right?) and that is where I place your link. Middle aged mind of mine, it mis-fires every now and again! http://theflowerbed-shr.blogspot.com/. I also left a link on my personal blog.

I love your bear and have the pattern. I am currently trying to work our how many pentagons and hexagons to make so that I can make them all up to the 4th round. I have worked out how many I need for everything except the legs. Is there anywhere that lists how many of each size to make? If not, can I get a list?
Can't wait to start making it!

Hi Tilly,
Thank you very much for buying a pattern! Your support is much appreciated :)
You will need to make 9 motifs for each leg, ie 18 motifs in total for both legs. Just have a squizz again at the tutorial...as i describe the way you go, I mention the size of the hook and whether the yarn needs to be held doubled for each motif you make.
You will need two pentagons for each leg and 7 hexagons...just make sure you are using the correct size hook for each section of the leg! Let me know if this helps :)
BTW, your wedding photo is beautiful!

Hi Heidi. I stumbled upon this late last year and fell absolutely in love with it! I was just wondering if you remembered the name of the colour you used to make the flower motif, the striking purple? It was just such a nice colour that I wanted to replicate when I have a go at this. If not, that's alright, I can dig around a little online to find something similar. Thank you. :)

I just found this pattern and am loving it. Just a quick question. This may be implied, but I just want it to come out right. When I'm joining the hexagons/pentagons that are progressively smaller, am I still using the 1.75mm hook to join? Please let me know. THANKS!

Hello, just purchased the pattern cant wait to start constructing my bear :) I have been practising making the hexagons and I'm just wondering about how big each motif should be, mine have been working out at about 8cm!!

Hi Jenna,
Thanks so much! The hexes vary in size depending on how tight/loose your tension is...to give you an idea, my 2mm hook hex's are around 7cm in diameter (tip to tip)...if yours are a bit bigger, don't worry...your bear will just be bit bigger :) I would love to see a pic when you are done!
